Shop & Lunch Ride
Well Melissa and I had planned to ride last week because the weather was going to be great. So I get up get stuff done and ready check emails like always, and the whole time seeing out my windows is fog all around & it then seem like it was in a hurry to lift, kept thinking to myself do I really want to do this & take the chance someone might not see me & the answer was yes because I love to ride and I knew I had my angels with me like always & lately I have gotten the name hardcore from some people because I even rode I think the coldest day in December and got caught in the rain and didn't give up so I guess that's the real life of a lady biker. So I go out reach in to open the garage door like always & I hear all this noise and thinking to myself what the hell did I just do so come to find out someone had stacked 6 sheets of metal up against the door we use, so of course I start to blame my oldest boy and my father in law is laughing and agreeing that our Cory. So then I call my hubby & asked why Cory would have stacked it there and keep in mind I'm mad by this time because I could not lift these sheets and how was I going to get my bike out but wouldn't you know I just stuck my foot in my mouth because the next thing out of hubby's mouth was he had stacked them there, speechless for a moment I know I know can you believe that but then I was like WHY!!!!! so anyway I get my biked turned around and I push it out the main door just barely fitting through & off I was, it was pretty cool coming down the road I get to Shanghi to get some gas & a pair of gloves to fit underneath my riding gloves they had flowers and butterfly's all over them I could not believe that. So by the time I get to Melissa's she is waiting in the driveway & my fingers are cold but we were off & she was leading we got to Tabler Station road 7 eleven and we filled our bikes and she gave me her black gloves thank goodness not saying anything wrong with the flowers and butterfly but there are left for my garden. Then we were heading to Hagerstown what a great ride & any one knows who rides a bike you just want to go but you see I can't I have to go real close to the speed limit, not allowed to get one more reckless driving ticket or I will not get my CDL's and anyone that knows me I love speed cars, bikes anything but I drive on a regular basis a Mustang GT and wouldn't you know it I got pulled over in a yellow Nissan Exterria I could not get over this 52 in a 25 not good first time I ever got reckless driving not to bad considering in my younger days the races I was in at the plaza but that's another blog. Any how we get to the Olive Garden have a great lunch and conversation & going over food for our fundraiser on Saturday, & then we r on the road again we head to the Williamsport Harley & we run into another member of TNT Annie who is having problems with her Harley and we say our Hello's and then goodbye's and we are off to the mall to find a vest which I found one not what I want but will do for now, so then we decide that my bike will stay at her house till Saturday so I don't have to come off the mountain in the cold that early in the morning so I stayed and had dinner with them that night and she gave me a ride home. Another great ride & exploring the roads with my chicka Melissa which I believe we have alot of roads in our future, my husband is always telling me he is going to show my the world which he doesn't know it but he already has the day I married him life with him is always a adventure but now we have lots of old and new friends to make lots of memory's with. So until the next ride. "Ride hard and ride safe"

March7 RIDE
Well this day Melissa, Heidi and I decided that we would meet up and may out the ride for Sunday so we all met up together at Melissa and off we went. We made a pit stop off at the Hair Cuttery hoping Kim could do my eyebrows "a lady has to keep up with these lol" but she was swamped so we were back off. So we traveled up through RT 9 and into Berkeley and to Hancock to have lunch and it was a really nice ride was not feeling the groove yet with us three. I had rode with Melissa before and we rode well together but this was the first time to ride w Heidi and this chick took the curves but that didn't bother me it was my freaken glasses by the time we got to the park and dine my eyes looked like I had been drinking for days. So when lunch was over and we were heading down 522 I got up to Heidi and asked to stop at the Liberty Station and this is where I bought another pair of glasses, looked not so good but worked better lol. Back on the road toward Full house we found our groove Melissa liked to ride left and I likes the right so we swapped places and road great right into Full house where again I bought another pair of glasses this is beginning to be a habit for me, Kevin my hubby says I have a fetish with glasses but even so I really liked these glasses. After a nice time at Full House they are so nice there and when ever I decide to move up on bikes "IF" this will be the place I look first but anyway we went next door to get something to drink and talk about the ride for the next day. Well it was getting close to the time I needed to go to work so we left and they followed me this time into Smokey's Tavern for me to work, and Melissa and Heidi went their own way.
So the very next day we would all meet up at Sheet's on Edwin and go over the route and all the good stuff & then we would be boots and saddle leading would be Heidi, Misty, Elina, Melissa, Teri, and then me & my hubby following. Teri's man and friend would head off to Front Royal so Kevin was left to be with all of us ladies "like he mind's" but soon I would be very grateful that he was along. We traveled up Rt 9 just like the day before riding very well together but just could not get myself motivated to get and go, but going through the curves up to Berkeley was so cool, Teri being in front of me has been riding for many years lots of experience and the coolest part was when she took curves she scraped the pavement with her crash bars this was cool so then I was trying to even be more comfortable and lay it down just a little more lol but time will come for that. So we get into Berkeley heading to Hancock to have lunch at the Park & Dine and everyone just moving along so well, we get into Hancock and take the first right and its a sharp and I see Misty going into a slide and I thought to myself this can't being happening but it was she has taken the curve a little to fast and she said she thought she would just pull back but instead she jumped the curve and she was going down "thank God for a riding gear and full face helmet because her face went to the payment, but we all parked & My hubby rushed to her and got the bike off of her and she kept repeating I'm fine I'm fine but this really took me for a loop I lost it I was really shook up, but I took a deep breath made sure she was okay and hubby checked her bike over just some cosmetic damage and she said she was ready to ride "what a trooper" so she earned the name that day "Crash" and I told her I would ride with her anyday. We decided to go on with our day had a nice lunch and headed toward 522 and she hung with everyone u would never know she ever laid it down but she also said this was her first and she hopes it would be her last and so do I. So we got into Winchester and Teri went her way and the rest of us headed toward Inwood, when we got their Misty and Elina went their way and the last of us went toward Nan & Pops to have a rest, but pulling in Melissa went on she felt it was time to get home I guess, never did find out what happen there lol. But Heidi, Kevin and I went in had a drink and relaxed a little bit and talk to the owner's of Nan & Pops about up coming events they were very nice people and great service. Well the night was winding down and Heidi took off said she was beat and wanted to get back before nite, she was looking tired by then. So a little later Kevin, Luke, Jennifer and I friends that we met up with there took off toward Inwood they went their way and we would stop to have some dinner and so glad we did we needed sometime to just talk, and he told me he thought I got all upset because Maybe it was like seeing my friend Jackie fly off all over again, I really don't know for sure what came over me but the day ended on a good note everyone was home safe. Till next time ride hard and ride safe!!

a warm day in October
I had met this lady on myspace, her name was Melissa come to find out we went to school together and found that we had some friends in common. The more we chatted we realized we had more in common, the love of the open road on two wheels. So we decided that we would get together w/ a mutual friend Eric and ride. So the day came in October a warm day but a cool breeze blowing and we met at Roc's in Pikeside and off we went. We met Eric in Falling Waters at my river lot and Melissa took the lead and what a awesome ride, nice country back roads all the way into frederick and we decided to stop at the outlets for some coffee, well at least for them I dont drink coffee so I got a tea and we sat down and got to know each other a little better. I was so amazed in how much interest we had in common and how well we rode together it was like I had always road with her, but the truth of the matter is I had always road with my husband 'ALWAYS' this was the first time he was not with me on a ride, it was different but felt good at the same time. So our first ride together would come to a end around 5:30 and I would head home and what a cold ride that was by the time I pulled into the garage my man had to peel my off the bike I was cold, but I wouldn't ever forget my first adventure out with my new friend and soon I would know we would be pulled more together in the months to come.
Well in November of 2008 I joined a local chapter of women on wheels called "Therapy'N'Thrills "aka TnT(our link is http://www.tnt-wow.org) I joined our very first meeting which didn't leave us too many more riding days, which for me and others has gave us time to get to know one another and bond, and that is a good thing to learn alot about someone before you ride together.
So comes January and we decide to go to the Timonium Bike Show as a group you could not ask for a nicer day and we had a blast getting to know each other and for Melissa and I too see two men that we really admire, I'm so into Bike Builders is not funny and I never could get into Orange County Choppers but always loved watching Vinny which has his own show V-Force Choppers now were talking and I got my picture take with him and Cody and Melissa and Lillian. Well of course with the weather being nice, we would want to plan our first ride together and it would be the following day.
Well it was set , we had a place and time there was 3 of us in Berkeley County to meet us, so the day comes I go to my sister's get my bike and the big question is will it start since I parked it there back in December because it had shut off on me in the parade, so yea I know I should have known better it would not start, so now I had to tex Melissa and let her know I would not be there on our first ride, I was so bummed but off too the shop it went and now she is home and ready to go so until next time here's to many more adventures.
