Well this day Melissa, Heidi and I decided that we would meet up and may out the ride for Sunday so we all met up together at Melissa and off we went. We made a pit stop off at the Hair Cuttery hoping Kim could do my eyebrows "a lady has to keep up with these lol" but she was swamped so we were back off. So we traveled up through RT 9 and into Berkeley and to Hancock to have lunch and it was a really nice ride was not feeling the groove yet with us three. I had rode with Melissa before and we rode well together but this was the first time to ride w Heidi and this chick took the curves but that didn't bother me it was my freaken glasses by the time we got to the park and dine my eyes looked like I had been drinking for days. So when lunch was over and we were heading down 522 I got up to Heidi and asked to stop at the Liberty Station and this is where I bought another pair of glasses, looked not so good but worked better lol. Back on the road toward Full house we found our groove Melissa liked to ride left and I likes the right so we swapped places and road great right into Full house where again I bought another pair of glasses this is beginning to be a habit for me, Kevin my hubby says I have a fetish with glasses but even so I really liked these glasses. After a nice time at Full House they are so nice there and when ever I decide to move up on bikes "IF" this will be the place I look first but anyway we went next door to get something to drink and talk about the ride for the next day. Well it was getting close to the time I needed to go to work so we left and they followed me this time into Smokey's Tavern for me to work, and Melissa and Heidi went their own way.
So the very next day we would all meet up at Sheet's on Edwin and go over the route and all the good stuff & then we would be boots and saddle leading would be Heidi, Misty, Elina, Melissa, Teri, and then me & my hubby following. Teri's man and friend would head off to Front Royal so Kevin was left to be with all of us ladies "like he mind's" but soon I would be very grateful that he was along. We traveled up Rt 9 just like the day before riding very well together but just could not get myself motivated to get and go, but going through the curves up to Berkeley was so cool, Teri being in front of me has been riding for many years lots of experience and the coolest part was when she took curves she scraped the pavement with her crash bars this was cool so then I was trying to even be more comfortable and lay it down just a little more lol but time will come for that. So we get into Berkeley heading to Hancock to have lunch at the Park & Dine and everyone just moving along so well, we get into Hancock and take the first right and its a sharp and I see Misty going into a slide and I thought to myself this can't being happening but it was she has taken the curve a little to fast and she said she thought she would just pull back but instead she jumped the curve and she was going down "thank God for a riding gear and full face helmet because her face went to the payment, but we all parked & My hubby rushed to her and got the bike off of her and she kept repeating I'm fine I'm fine but this really took me for a loop I lost it I was really shook up, but I took a deep breath made sure she was okay and hubby checked her bike over just some cosmetic damage and she said she was ready to ride "what a trooper" so she earned the name that day "Crash" and I told her I would ride with her anyday. We decided to go on with our day had a nice lunch and headed toward 522 and she hung with everyone u would never know she ever laid it down but she also said this was her first and she hopes it would be her last and so do I. So we got into Winchester and Teri went her way and the rest of us headed toward Inwood, when we got their Misty and Elina went their way and the last of us went toward Nan & Pops to have a rest, but pulling in Melissa went on she felt it was time to get home I guess, never did find out what happen there lol. But Heidi, Kevin and I went in had a drink and relaxed a little bit and talk to the owner's of Nan & Pops about up coming events they were very nice people and great service. Well the night was winding down and Heidi took off said she was beat and wanted to get back before nite, she was looking tired by then. So a little later Kevin, Luke, Jennifer and I friends that we met up with there took off toward Inwood they went their way and we would stop to have some dinner and so glad we did we needed sometime to just talk, and he told me he thought I got all upset because Maybe it was like seeing my friend Jackie fly off all over again, I really don't know for sure what came over me but the day ended on a good note everyone was home safe. Till next time ride hard and ride safe!!
